As the team went into the next game they held their heads high, hoping for another victory. Milford early on in the game had a lot of shots on goal, which seemed to frustrate the Lady Spartan's at the start of the game. Trying to make a comeback, Krista assisted Jillian on a goal. The Lady Spartans held the score 1-1 for a long period of time, until Milford ended up with a second goal. At 2-1, 8th grade Miranda Mabie (sweeper and goalie) would not let the aggressive opponent get another goal. When Milford brought the ball near her side of the field, she would send it back up to strikers - 8th graders Emily Schuler and Jillian Bent. Freshman Madison Daignault, playing halfback, also kept the ball away from the goalie. The Lady Spartans played hard, and held a strong defense; not allowing another goal.
Now, with homecoming around the corner and only two games played, the stage is set for continued improvement. The team hopes to win homecoming and have a strong finish to the season. The team is working hard and becoming closer and closer at every practice and game. The Mod Squad prides itself on working together, working hard, and working to better each other.
